MWCC is pleased to host a one-day in-person seminar (and tour) on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), presented by expert trainers from the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) PFAS Team!  The ITRC PFAS team includes over 500 environmental professionals from state, local, and federal government, the private sector, academia, and public stakeholders, collaborating to produce resources to address the challenges of PFAS contamination. This workshop will be led by PFAS experts from state agencies, academic institutions, and consulting.

PFAS are an emerging group of contaminants that present unique challenges in many areas, including widespread use and presence in the environment, sampling and analysis, fate and transport, and remedial approaches. This training session provides state-of-the-art knowledge on PFAS for regulators, site managers, facility owners, consultants, technology developers, and stakeholders. This training will support PFAS practitioners in making decisions on managing PFAS-impacted sites.

Note:  Champ Landfill PFAS Water Treatment Facility tour - a representative from Champ Landfill will give a brief overview of their brand new, state of the art treatment facility, and then attendees will be given a guided tour.
